Minecraft and Roblox are both old school games and when compared to today’s game, they would be considered “mediocre”. However, which of the two is better? Minecraft came out May 17, 2009, and has been a big hit worldwide. Roblox came out in 2006. Roblox is like Legos and Minecraft is like blocks. Preston Romack, a 7th-grade student at West, and he likes Minecraft more than Roblox because “game modes, has mini-games, can play on Xbox, PC, and you can build and explore.”
Preston also does not like that in Roblox, a player have to download studios, which can take hours. Preston finally states that, “Minecraft is way better than Roblox because…the features and extras in Roblox are so lame and some of the games just bore people out while Minecraft has surprises and excitement around any corner.”
We also interviewed another 7th grader at West, Cameron Laidlaw, and Cameron concludes, “My favorite thing about Minecraft is you can play with your friends. My favorite thing about Roblox is when I get to make fun of it.”
Our final interview was with another 7th-grade student at West, Isaac Boal. Isaac does not play Minecraft anymore, but he likes it better than Roblox because he feels that in Minecraft you can have more fun with friends than you can in Roblox.
Roblox cannot be played on nearly as many platforms as Minecraft can, mainly being PC, Phone, Playstation, and Xbox. Minecraft can even be played on the newer Nintendo systems, not just Xbox and can even be played on the Wii U. Even though Minecraft is all about building and exploring, you can make your own games using Roblox, which may be fun to coders. We agree with Preston and Cameron that Minecraft is a lot better than Roblox.

In my opinion they’re both really good games. I’ve Played them both for over 500 hours (uhhh) but if I had to choose one I’d choose roblox and I give reasons for why it is MY favorite. Reason 1 its cheaper its literally free while minecraft is like 10$.Reason 2 I build games in Roblox not saying there good games but I’ve made like 3 robux from it which leads me to reason 4 they both have in game currency this being minecoins and robux but you can get robux for free by building a game. But I can’t Minecraft go with making it look good minecraft is great its fun and enjoyable and you can even build skyscrapers from scratch but i guess its all just a opinion a game opinion.

Minecraft is best because you can do anything in it. people who say Minecraft has no games I bet have never even played on a server. Also if you want guns in Minecraft download a mod. you can literally get anything you want on Minecraft using mods. Also, HOW IN THE WORLD DID MINECRAFT COPY ROBLOX?!?!?!? I personnly idk how to spell it while I think Minecraft is better game because there are many things you can do on it there a servers so you can do more things I think it is worth the money while rolblox there are many games on it some are inappropriate they have a bad watchdog and some you can get bored of games you find and not like many any more you can also have mods on minecraft and you can edit the code and create your one The rolblox game creator is hard to use you will need rapid tutorials and some are even an hour long! and alot of the games on rolbloxare just the default games when you start an account and the dckudo guy say that mineccraft is a ripoff of rolblox while that is not true becausem minecraft is based of of survival unlike rolblox wich is a social platform with games on it and the minecraft style is way diffrent than rolblox that just copies off of legos.

Minecraft and Fortnite is so lame to soe people,(like me). I’ve been playing roblox since 2013 and that was when everything wasn’t like today’s roblox, where you didn’t have the walking animation or jumps and things weren’t so round like they are now soo, yea. idk minecraft costs money while roblox is free. Roblox was made earlier than minecraft. It depends on you device if its laggy or not.Its not roblox’ fault there are alot of hackers exploiters and oders. Its the people. mc does get boring but its really good. While roblox is good itself but it has more room for improvement. Robux is very cheap. ofc if you buy a small amount, you can make your own games. In mc you can make your own servers. Idk but i think its a tie. Roblox has infinite games but ofc not that good. While mc is pretty fun but u get bored easily so thats my opinion idk.

Minecraft is preferred, for it has more things to do, more variety, and more gameplay. Mabye roblox has those, but its just less quality simulators, tycoons, and obbies. It’s nowhere as good as minecraft.

-Can’t handle too many players in a server
-The price is expensive for a game
-You can turn off the profanity filter
-It can get repetitive and boring even with the updates
-What you can do is limited (especially if you’ve been playing for a long time)
-Hard to understand especially if you’re not a fan of watching long tutorials and Youtube videos
ROBLOX PROS
-It uses hashtags and filters profanities
-Explore endless varieties of games
-It is not boring and keeps you hooked
-There are events that are sure to keep you hooked
-It is not laggy (for me)
-It can handle many people inside a single server
-Create your own game and earn robux for it
-You can communicate with players around the world (this aspect is better here than Minecraft so I did not list it as a pro of Minecraft)
-Free to play
-You are not forced to pay money
-Continuous updates
ROBLOX CONS
-You cant do much for your avatar unless you have robux which is equivalent to real life money
-Requires continuous internet connection
-Scammers and Online Daters are rampant
-Toxic community
-“Not a Robot” verification takes too much time
-There are illegal games in Roblox
So that’s all, I think Roblox is better than MC because of the fact that Roblox does not get boring. I can search diff. varieties of games whereas Minecraft doesn’t have that much. I just keep away from scammers and I don’t get myself involved in toxic communities in Roblox.This is just my opinion. And for the record, Roblox is NOT a copycat of Minecraft because Roblox was released on 2006 but MC was only released on 2009. If anything, MC is the copycat of Roblox if you’re really eager to say that Roblox is a copy of MC.

I honestly think Roblox is better in my opinion, because in Roblox you can build multiple different games with advanced tools, such as scripts and stuff. You can basically make literally anything you want. (their moderation kinda sucks tho) It also gives the player a lot of creativity , and it will inspire the player. There are MILLIONS of games on Roblox and you’ll NEVER get bored. Even most YouTubers play Roblox.

I will give a full detailed paragraph on the pros and cons of minecraft and the pros and cons of roblox. First lets discuss the pros of minecraft. Minecraft is a open world sandbox building game. One of the best things about minecraft are the massive amounts of mods, For example there are really nice shaders and ray tracing texture packs. Their are also mods that can change and modify your world in crazy ways. You can even download a mod that gives you the ability to place down furniture and thats awesome. The only con of minecraft is that you need to pay for the game. Now the pros of roblox. In roblox you can make your own games which is cool but there are a ton of cons. I wont be going over every con since there are so many but i will go over 3. The cons of roblox are that you have a 25% chance of getting hacked. There are too many inappropriate games on the platform. The final con i list is that games like among us get stolen and republished on roblox.

Minecraft pros: – I can do whatever I want
– Many things to do
– not laggy or glitchy
– fun to play with commands and command blocks
– strategical thinking which will help me later on
– A SUPER DUPER GUD GAME!!!
Minecraft cons: – It can get boring
– it costs money to play it, so when i wanna play it but my current device doesn’t have Minecraft, I need to spend money
– you know what, Minecraft didn’t have as many cons as I thought
Roblox pros: – free, I can play it on a device if I don’t have Roblox on it
– you can develop things on Roblox studio
– able to practice financial skills, such as keeping you Roblox game up to date, make sure your game gets a lot of Robux, and you can sell clothes (these things give you experience so when you actually sell or start a business, you already have some experience)
– they hashtag bad words and numbers
– HUGE and I mean HUGE variety of things
– Roblox is also a super-duper gud game
Roblox cons: – blocking out numbers gets annoying when you don’t mean anything bad
– IT COSTS MONEY TO DO EVERYTHING!!! (not everything, but it costs money to make clothes on Roblox [you need premium to do it}, AND YOU NEED PREMIUM TO EVERYTHING THAT’S SUPER GOOD ON ROBLOX, WHICH MAKES PEOPLE MISS OUT ON GOOD THINGS, WHICH MAKES ME CRY [jk i’m not crying])
– Roblox lags and glitches a lot (some glitches are actually good and some glitches are required to do things such as corner clips, dance clips, etc. in obbies)
– rage level is much higher than Minecraft
– that’s all of the cons
In conclusion, I like Minecraft better overall. Now I’m not saying Roblox sucks, cuz as you can see, I have a good amount of pros for both games. Roblox is better at variety and developing skills, whereas Minecraft is better at creativity and seemingly endless adventures. Both are great games, but Minecraft is better by 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%. Okay, bye. Be good hoomans and stay home in this time of crisis.

Apparently, Roblox has almost everything, they took and copied Minecraft to get it better in Roblox. They had it to a better shading and has realistic effects around the server.
So, Minecraft is a copy of Roblox because Roblox was the first then Minecraft
Minecraft does have an tags as censorship like “*” so it’s kinda annoying,
Hacked does have a bypass exploit through the tags so Minecraft suck because it’s too popular and laggy because of the population of one billion players. Just pls Minecraft, stop copying Roblox, there no way to make your original creations then Roblox, just please stop Minecraft I don’t like this game anymore

all the people who are saying roblox is better have not played minecraft I bet half the people have not played minecraft because they didn’t want to pay the price and minecraft is pirateable also then they realised they didn’t have enough storage to play fortnite and apex legends (they both are very big games) now if you say minecraft get’s completed in a few hours are wrong and even if we get bored of minecraft (solo) we can watch videos and do there vids and minecraft doesn’t have bed graphics! Roblox has bad graphics but just because it’s a kind of stupid and some of the characters look like some drew a face on lego with a marker.And minecraft can get guns,tanks,planes and even better graphics by a few mos.Minecraft hass minigames and servers which are multiplayer as well as solo you can also play jailbreak in minecraft with the help of a server.

Alright… I will say what I really think of both.
First Minecraft,
When I was. a kid, I really liked this game, it was all the fun to play that but…, after playing for a year, the gameplay was all the time the same, mining, killing, dying, etc…. I think that Minecraft can be good but, it’s not a game that I would play a lot and, I get bored easily.
Roblox,
Then I switched to Roblox, I think that one of the biggest difference is the price, Minecraft is a pay access and is not free like Roblox., this is fun. For second, an other thing that I like with roblox is that YOU can build what you want!, maybe games won’t be as much good as some big games like COD or whatever, these are community creations and only this, it can be fun to create, if you are bored, you play a game, there are tons of choice. Realistic to Cartoony, like to play more realistic game and like army, then you join groups. Thats all, this is fun, you can change all the time of “gameplay”.
With all this, I want to say that, on my opinion roblox is “better”. (For me), but, both got some points. Minecraft is an other thing of roblox and this is why we can’t compare that well.

First of all, Minecraft is a decent game and it is fun, but Roblox is way better. Roblox has better graphics, some of you idiots out there are like “Oh Roblox lags, so it SUCKS!!!” I honestly think that whoever says that is high, buy a better device, you old hag. Second of all, if you say that Roblox has trash graphics then check out some of the showcases, like Photorealism and some other games, Minecraft requires shaders in order to have better graphics. I am not saying that I hate Minecraft, I am just annoyed by the people that play it, Roblox has way better communities than Minecraft, the communities on Minecraft are just salty, period.

Oh yeah, and Minecraft is still Minecraft. Because of all the updates on Roblox, it doesn’t feel like that Roblox for 2011. It’s completely different. Even with the updates on Minecraft, it still feels like Minecraft. And if you want to play an older version, you can. You can’t do that on Roblox though.

So I would say ROBLOX but there is this crazy update on Minecraft that destroy’s ROBLOX. The nether update, it has netherite armor, bastins, whatever the hell they’re called. It’s just amazing. Does Roblox have these stuff? NOPE but Roblox beats MC in a few ways, unlimited games. “unless you’re a crazy person that played everything” endless possibilities. But all those stuff doesn’t add up to the fun of making a survival world all to yourself, on Minecraft there are servers, PvP servers, Prison, Survival, ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF!! Minecraft destroy’s ROBLOX when it comes to quality updates and servers. It may cost a lot to play with your friends or buy it, but its worth it. Get Minecraft and Roblox and you wont regret it. My final opinion is Minecraft. I’ve been playing since 2013, Roblox since 2015, and Minecraft is incredible, GG MINECRAFT!!!

Minecraft and Roblox are two completely different types of games and comparing them would only make Roblox look worse. Roblox has a bad reputation due to minecraft upstaging it. The fact they didn’t show people who like roblox’s opinion is truly an unfair example. Roblox and Minecraft are games that really aren’t similar if you think about it, Roblox has games that are online and made by developers who make a living off of the DevEx System. Minecraft too has creators of worlds making a living of off it but the differences between the types of games are that people can socialise in places, trade rare items and earn robux, in Roblox and in minecraft you can still do the same sort of thing but in different ways like playing with other people on minigames like spleef. Roblox has physics like its real minecraft doesn’t both of these reasons make up the games themself and as a supporter of both games I don’t believe one should be looked at as a better game.

I like how the two 7 graders gave comments that absolutely make zero sense. “game modes, has mini-games, can play on Xbox, PC, and you can build and explore.” Yeah, you can do all of those on Roblox too. Roblox is a gaming platform with thousands of high quality games, and the games themselves are unique. You want game modes and minigames? Many games on Roblox have those. Roblox is playable on Xbox and PC, and you can build and explore on Roblox Studio. There are good building games too, take Bloxburg for example.

It is pretty much impossible to compare Minecraft and Roblox fairly. Like, if you compare them on graphics qualities, the former has simple pixelated design, so obviously the pixels are going to be glaring. And then you go to Roblox and see how gorgeous the showcase games are. (Life of an Otaku is amazing, you need to check it out.) However, when you go to old Roblox games you realized the graphics are just similar to legos.
So yeah, stop comparing games that are completely different. Minecraft is a sandbox game, Roblox is a game platform. This is fact and you gotta take it.

In minecraft, the tutoriols were horrible, The updates take forever to make, the chat system doesnt block swears, Once you had everything in game you would start feeling loney, and without internet minecraft is so boring.Meanwhile, when I first played minecraft, I didnt know how to do anything, In roblox when I started playing, I had a shock of happy surprise since the controls were smooth, the games were great etc. I am currently playing roblox, as my age of minecraft has passed. I have also spent over 90 canadian dollars on roblox, as I was very happy when I got my robux.

Roblox has a lot more vairety than Minecraft, but Minecraft is good with what it has. Roblox is like having lots of troops, and Minecraft is like having your few elites. Roblox is free, but Minecraft costs money, so there’s going to be a clear quality difference, but the quality is relative to its price and your opinions.

I think they are both equally good in their own ways. They do have their own downfalls though. If I had to choose one in this current year it would definitely be minecraft, because roblox has had some terrible updates (In my opinion) That currently make the game worse, and minecraft has recently had some amazing updates with the 1.14. But if it were back in 2012-2014 definitely roblox!

I am in love with the game Roblox because it is amazing and I can play all of the games I want to.
It also gets rid of the potty words by using hashtags. This was my mommy cannot get mad at me for the swear words.
