Before Spring Break  West Middle School had a contest between all the prime times for March is Reading Month. The contest was a door decorating contest. All of the primetimes had the chance to decorate their door to look like the cover of their favorite book.

Doors were judged by using a rubric. The door had to be neat, interesting, and different. The door winner was picked by Mrs. Nancy Rapson, West secretary. The winning class was by Mrs. Terry’s 8th grade primetime. The door is located at room C-106. They did a door of the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Mrs. Terry’s class won a pizza party.

Students enjoyed the contest because it was fun to create their favorite book covers on their class door. Ironically, it also gave students a break from reading, which they loved.
