Mrs. Becky’s Life at School and at Home

Have you ever been served by Becky A’Hearn at lunch? Do you know who she is? Mrs. Becky is usually serving lunch at the register in the first line. Mrs. Becky usually wears a colorful bandana and has red hair.

Not only does Mrs. Becky serve lunch, but Mrs. Becky also bowls for two bowling leagues on Thursday nights and Friday nights. Overall, Mrs. Becky is a very active person. Mrs. Becky also does kickboxing along with cardio drumming. Mrs. Becky has one daughter who is 21 years old named Kimberly. Mrs. Becky is not from Plymouth, she started off in a little town in New York called Elmira, then to Buffalo, then moved to Connecticut, then Pittsburg, and then finally, to Plymouth, Michigan. “I had a very good childhood.” States Mrs. Becky with enthusiasm. “I played outside all the time, and I had a pool growing up so everyone came to my house.”

Mrs. Becky gets to school at 6 a.m. Mrs. Becky’s school schedule is a lot different from her home life. First, she starts to prepare breakfast at 7 a.m. She begins to serve breakfast to students at 7:30 a.m. Next, at 8:30 she starts to prepare lunch. Then, at 10:15 they start to cook lunch and gets the food ready for the students. Everything is done by 11 and she starts setting up lunch. Mrs. Becky added, “I love my job because I love the kids. It’s fun, and I have been doing this job for 17 years.” Mrs. Becky has been working at West for 15 years. The other two years she spent at East Middle School. She started her job because she and her daughter would have the same days off.

To end this off, Mrs.Becky has a tattoo on her left arm in honor of her husband passing away. Next time you buy lunch, say “Hi” and perhaps asking her how her day is going. She is a wonderful person that is worth getting to know!
