Mr. Wells, the 6th-grade health teacher at West, will be the 2018-2019 volleyball coach. Part of the decision has to do with building relationships with students he told us.
Mr. Wells became the volleyball coach because he has coached many other West sports teams and wanted another to add to the list. Mr. Well states, “I am really excited, I think West has a storied history of great volleyball.”
He is planning to work hard with the team and get them ready for high school sports. Mr. Wells has a background experience with volleyball so he knows a lot about the activity. A great trait Mr. Wells is bringing to the team is positivity. There will also be a lot of motivation along with his coaching.
The volleyball girls are excited that Mr. Wells is their new coach because he’s funny, energetic, positive, and encouraging. Mira Vulaj, a seventh-grader at West states, “Him being the coach will help us a lot because he is encouraging, and someone you want as a coach.” Lillianna Neme, a seventh-grader at West, likes that Mr. Wells will never hold a mistake against you, and she thinks he is a great guy.
If you are trying out for volleyball next year it will be the time of your life with Mr. Wells! When you see tell him good luck!!
