West Secretaries: Get to Know Them!

The West secretaries in the office work hard every day to make sure West is functioning. Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Hanline, and Mrs. Rapson have worked together for the past six years and are still going strong.
The first lady you will see in the office behind the front desk is Mrs. Campbell. Before she was a West secretary, Mrs. Campbell used to be a flight attendant and is now married with three girls. Two of the girls are married and one is in college. Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, Mrs. Campbell submits attendance, gives students passes to class, and sets up the beautiful showcases you see in the hallway. Mrs. Campbell also checks out books to students and makes copies. Before Mrs.Campbell wanted to work in the office, she wanted to have a career in exercise and health.
Mrs. Haneline, who works at the second desk, has always had a love for school and now works in the West office. Her two kids, who also went to West, are now grown up. One of her boys is married with a baby girl. Mrs. Haneline takes attendance, organizes school events, is in charge of the morning announcements, and updates the tv and sign up front.
Mrs. Rapson, who is at the third desk, works with most of the business stuff. She does the purchasing for West, is in charge of submitting payroll, and also helps with the schedule and organizing events. Her own kids inspired her to work in the West Middle School office. She has two daughters and they both went to West. Both daughters are engaged to be married soon.
The secretaries reflect about funny things that happen during the school day. “One of the craziest things we saw was a student who needed a penny and his parent came all the way to get it to him.” People mainly go to the office because they are not feeling well or forgot something.
From the popular show the Office, the office ladies think they are most like Pam, Michael, and Dwight. Mrs. Campbell thinks she is Pam, Mrs. Haneline thinks shes Dwight, and Mrs. Rapson thinks she is Michael.
Next time you’re in the office, take the time to say hi to these ladies and use their name! They do much more than pass out ice packs.

It’s funny because I know both of Mrs. Rapons daughters and I will be attending her oldest! I love how informative you were with your story and now I know more about all of them!

I really like how you tell the backstories (Almost) of our office ladies. I don’t know much about them (Which is guess is normal since I’m new here) but this really helped!
