No school for students on March 10

Sadie Langdon, Reporter

On Tuesday, March 10, there will be no school for all students -some staff included- in most Plymouth/Canton public schools. This is because the schools are being used for voting for the primary election. I asked a couple of teachers, and 12 students if they liked that we had no school, why, and if they are going to do anything.

Mrs. Horvath stated, “I think it’s smart for the students and the school. I think it’s silly that the teachers have to [go to work].” Out of the 12 students I interviewed, all 12 agreed with her. Avery Fox, along with 4 other students, explained they were most likely going to hang out with friends that day. 6 students agreed with what Kripa Patel mentioned, and that they were going to stay home and relax that day.

Even though students get school off, most teachers don’t. I asked my aunt, who is a high school teacher in Brighton if she had to attend school and she said she did. Mrs. Horvath and Mr. Fisher also have to attend school. All the students I had interviewed, along with the teachers, said that they believed everyone should get school off for Tuesday, March 10.
