Person of the Week 4/27: Stephen Speilberg

Stephen Speilberg was born on December 18, 1946, in Cincinnati, OH and still is alive today. He always had a passion for filmmaking, since he was a kid and was even the youngest person to be a television director at Universal in the 1960s. Throughout the years he made many award-winning movies such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial which won for Best Picture, and The Color Purple which also won for Best Picture.

Early Life and Career

From Cincinnati, Stephen moved a lot throughout his childhood. He spent most of it in Arizona. He always had a passion for film and worked at Universal at a young age. In 1972, he made a television film called Duel that brought him many opportunities to direct for cinema.
