What Middle Schoolers Want for Christmas!
November 20, 2020
The holidays are right around the corner, and we all know what that means: presents! Not trying to sound greedy or anything, presents are just the first thing that comes to a child’s mind. Most families have some sort of holiday they celebrate during the winter months, whether it is Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years’, or more.
Since there are so many different things all children want for the holidays, West Middle School students gave their input for what gifts they are most hoping for.
Kennady Steinagel, West 7th-grader, favorite gifts are a Nintendo Switch game and a speaker. Kennady added that she likes giving gifts more than receiving because she loves seeing her friends and family’s different expressions on their faces. I asked what do you think is so hard about giving gifts for teenagers? Her answer was it’s hard because we don’t give a specific style or what we want. For one thing, like a book, people might get us lots of books cause we’re not giving them specific details. My last question to her was what do you want for Christmas? She explained she would like some jewelry and some sweatshirts and clothes. To my surprise, looking through all of your answers she wasn’t the only one.
Now to go on to what everybody else said what they wanted for the holidays here are what the top five have to say.
#1 The top one for middle schoolers wanting for the holidays was money! They want money or even gift cards like Visa, Target, and to clothing stores.
#2 Electronics the biggest answers PS5 and AirPods, along with a new phone.
#3 New clothes, sweatshirts, leggings, anything from Lululemon.
#4 Outdoor Equipment or bikes like dirt bikes or the new Outdoor Equipment. Like snowboarding, skateboarding, and even new football and baseball equipment.
#5 is LED lights. If you’re not familiar with LED lights they are lights that have really cool remotes and they change color. when she picked the color on the remote and you can change them, they’re really so cool
I really hope that all of you who ask for something get exactly what they want. Your holidays are a time to bring cheer and enjoy, but also especially on 20/20, we have to make things safe. Here are some tips on how to save safely during the holidays.
- Wash hands often to help prevent the spread of germs. It’s flu season. Wash your hands with soap and clean running water for at least 20 seconds.
- Bundle up to stay dry and warm. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing: light, warm layers, gloves, hats, scarves, and waterproof boots.
Manage stress. Give yourself a break if you feel stressed out, overwhelmed, and out of control. Some of the best ways to manage stress are to find support, connect socially, and get plenty of sleep.
Thank you so much for your time I hope you enjoy this article and happy holidays anybody!
