West Welcomes Mrs. Lawson

New West math teacher, Mrs. Lawson, wants students to be inspired by her, and to want to do math in her classroom. Mrs. Lawson’s classroom is in B-Wing and teachers primarily 8th-grade math. Not only that, but she likes math because she likes solving problems and because it’s fun.

Mrs, Lawson said, “I love West and the people at West.” But not only that, but she really likes the environment she’s in at West Middle School.

Mrs. Lawson taught in Bloomfield, MI, where she taught tech, science, high school math, along with teaching 6th-8th grade math. Mrs. Lawson plans to improve West by teaching new skills to her class. Mrs. Lawson said, “I am 39 years old.” She also stated she has been teaching for 16 years. A bit about her family, her first name is Laura, she has a husband, 3 kids, and a golden doodle. So that is a bit about her out-of-school life.
