Bazzi family after the Detroit Marathon race.

Natalie Basista, Reporter

Mrs. Bazzi and her husband ran the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon, which is 13.1 miles. She finished in 2 hours and 1 minute.

Mrs. Bazzi and her husband have picked up running recently to stay healthy, “My husband had a massive heart attack, and he got Covid really bad, this caused us to change our lifestyle.”

She and her husband really got “sucked into running” and really enjoyed running together. They both were very motivated and had a lot of fun pushing each other.  “When January 2021 came around we were like let’s do this, it will be a way to commemorate our health journey. We are turning a new leaf.”

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bazzi!

Mrs. Bazzi holds her half-marathon medal proudly.
