The Scarecrows are Back DTP!

Scarecrow in Downtown Plymouth

Neveen Khatib and Layla Mouro

The scarecrows are back in DTP (Downtown Plymouth)! Every year, on September 24th Plymouth businesses decorate their own scarecrow around Kellogg Park.

This is great for businesses because this allows for more of a spotlight when it comes to advertisement. There are about 100 scarecrows.

Locals love going to see the scarecrows. Personally, we like the Mr.Potato Head and Jack Skelington scarecrows.

West students love to walk downtown to see the scarecrows. “I think because it’s a good opportunity for people to get out and get some fresh air and for them to look at stuff,” said 6th grader Eva Radke.

Don’t forget to see the scarecrows before they get taken down on October 31st! There’s also a Pumpkin Palooza on Oct 24.
