No School Jan. 17th and half-days for students Jan. 27 & 28

Haddie Allen and Josie Runyan

This January, West has two half days and one full day off. The day we don’t have school is January 17th, we have it off because it’s MLK Day. MLK Day is celebrated on the third Monday of January. It was made to celebrate all of Martin Luther King Jr.’s accomplishments in making equality and peace.

We also have half days on the 27th and 28th, because of the new semester beginning. During the new semester we will be getting new green cards and grades will be recorded in MiStar.

Our lovely teachers will be having record days on the 27th and 28th, where they will be putting in grades and leaving comments on students in MiStar. Make sure to turn in late work before the end of the semester!
