Would you want a playground outside of West Middle School?

Would you want a playground outside of West Middle School? Many West Students think so.

“We should have a playground at West Middle School because some kids can get really bored just standing around talking at recess and just playing with a ball or just talking most of the time,” said Amari Patton, West 7th grader.

Just standing around playing with a ball or just talking with your friends outside can get boring sometimes. If we have a playground outside of the school then we won’t be as bored.  Imagine going outside and seeing a swing set, monkey bars, obstacle course, or ga-ga ball.

“Yes, it was very fun [having a playground in elementary school]. West middle school doesn’t and recess isn’t as fun,” said Asia Patton, West 7th grader. Unlike middle schools, elementary schools have playgrounds that are very fun to play on at recess and students think we should have one too.

“I’m not asking for a big structure, but having swings would be fun,” said Dhanya Harikrishnan, West 7th grader. Another West 7th grader, London Williams wants the playground to have a lot of swings too because she likes to swing around a lot. She also would like slides because she thinks that would be fun also.

This shows that a few West 7th graders would like to have a playground outside of West Middle School. Would you like to have one? Leave a comment below.
