Hello, all! I’m Audrey, and I’m here to tell you all about the dwarf planet Pluto.
First, this little planet is only around half the size of the United States, although if it somehow crashed into Earth, I’m pretty sure we’d be doomed.
Next, Pluto got its name from an eleven-year-old girl in 1930! She suggested the idea to her grandfather, who forwarded it to an observatory. It was accepted, and as you should know by now, the suggestion became reality.
Also, although this dwarf planet is the tiny size it is, it has five moons! Charon, Nix, Styx, Kerberos, and Hydra each orbit Pluto (like moons are supposed to), showing that it can’t clear objects from its orbit.
Finally, you may have noticed the heart shape on Pluto. This heart is made of frozen nitrogen. Maybe Pluto loves us!
Well, it looks like we’ve reached the end! Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great day!
