The offseason in the NFL has just begun!
Holding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft (via the Carolina Panthers), the Chicago Bears. We think the Chicago Bears will select Caleb Williams. We predict that they will trade away Justin Fields to a franchise in-need of a quarterback, like the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Atlanta Falcons. We think that the Bears are ready to move on from Fields with the No. 1 overall pick since it has been increasingly looking like that will be the case. They find Caleb Williams as a strong candidate for their franchise QB.
Holding the No. 6 overall pick we believe the New York Giants will select championship quarterback from Michigan Wolverines, JJ McCarthy. Giants manager Joe Schoen believes that JJ McCarthy is a very good prospect for their QB position. Brian Daboll, Giants HC, believes that he is everything they need in a QB, being someone who can run and throw. McCarthy having a 88.2 QBR and a 22 TD to 4 interception ratio we believe that with a good roster around him, his talent is boundless, even if his offensive line isn’t the greatest in the world.
Speaking of the Giants, they have a position that could be filled eventually. But the real question is: Will they be able to fill the void that is left? Saquon Barkley. He’s expected to go out into the world of free agency, where possibly the Houston Texans or possibly the Giants divisional rival the Dallas Cowboys.
Holding the No. 25 overall pick, we asked our beloved cheesehead, Mr Menzer, who he wanted to pick up in the draft, “The Packers need help in the defensive secondary so I can see them drafting a cornerback or safety in the 1st round. I have seen Cooper DeJean from Iowa on a lot of mock drafts. If not a defensive player, I think they should draft an offensive lineman in the first round.” Clearly, Mr. Menzer believes in Coach La Fleur making the right decision, just like our other beloved cheesehead Mr. Windes, “I think he is a really good guy, and that’s not just because he and I went to Western at the same time. He also stated, “I think that it’s really cool that somebody from Michigan is coaching the Packers.”
Holding the No. 29 overall pick in the NFL draft are our very own Motor City monarchs, the Detroit Lions. We believe that the best decision for the Lions to make to to draft Iowa cornerback Cooper DeJean, being 6’1 207 lbs and a unanimous All-American decision, but if not available (and taken by Mr. Menzers Green Bay Packers) then another decision is to take Kool-Aid McKinstry. McKinstry is 6’1, 194 lbs, and the winner of the 2021 USA Today High School Defensive Player of the Year.
Overall, this draft is going to be a rollercoaster of good and not-so-good picks. We know we’re gonna watch the 2024 NFL Draft from April 25 to April 27, we hope you do too. Leave your trade and draft predictions in the comments.

I like Cooper too, but only if we don’t trade up to get CB Quintin Mitchell, or if we don’t trade down.
Kamari Lassiter out of Georgia is a solid zone defender that can play man too. We lacked solid zone defenders in the secondary last year and played man a lot to compensate. If both Cooper and Mitchell are gone and they don’t trade, I like Kamari.
Great article! Gooooooo Lionnnnnsssssssss!!!!!!!!
