The Honey Hole, a restaurant in Old Village, Plymouth, known for the comfy atmosphere and great food, is no longer open. Instead, a new place, known as The Red Ryder, is here. Since it is set to open soon, what should we expect from it?
At 584 Starkweather St, The Red Ryder is gearing up to open around this summer. “People can expect a neighborhood spot where they can hang out with old friends and meet new ones,” said Owner Jeff O’Brien, former general manager of Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center. (Social House News)
One of the most major things about Red Ryder will be the music. O’Brian talked about how there will be over 4,000 Lps and vinyl records, which will most definitely fuel the vibe of The Red Ryder. “We’ll be spinning music from all eras, all genres,” O’Brien promised. “Some nights, it might be all Motown tunes, other nights ’80s hair band music.”
Jeff O’Brien also talks about the expected atmosphere of Red Ryder. “The Red Ryder’s atmosphere will remind you of your dad’s basement, with warm and cozy finishes … like something out of the ’70s. There will be great music, what I’ll call elevated, affordable bar food with a few twists and turns, and a very extensive selection of bourbons, scotches, whiskey, and tequila.” (Social House News)
“I grew up in my basement in the 70s,” says Erika, a community member, who says she is excited for the Red Ryder. “Me and my friends would go into our basements, have a good time, play games, and listen to music.”
So far, The Red Ryder seems very promising, and we’ll get to see it soon!
