Horse riding could be delightful, but also extremely dangerous.
It can be scary at times and hurt. For example, I was riding at a horse show, fell off, and had a “game” of leapfrog. The horse I was riding went over the jump, I went over her head, onto the ground, and she completely went over me, all four hoofs around me, two on each side. Everyone gasped, even my trainer.
You have to be committed to multiple things, money and the horse. It is roughly $9,000 per year for me, and I don’t even own a horse. The horse you need to trust. If you don’t trust the horse then, you can’t ride it as well as you could. If you trust the horse, you can do as well as you thought or better.
Personally, it is my favorite sport and the only sport I actually stayed with. You create a bond with a horse and it is all a teamwork sport with your horse. With another horse I rode, he lets me sit in the stall while he is laying down. It is all trust.

I don’t ride at Willowbrook but I ride at a different barn. I ride at Stonehaven. I am glad someone has shined some light on horseback riding.
