Mrs. Holten can spike a volleyball and has a lot of practice with it! Do you want to go against her?

Mrs. Holten states, “I started playing volleyball in 9th grade in gym class and loved it.  So I tried out for my high school team. (I am so old that middle school volleyball wasn’t well established.)” Mrs. Holten made the JV (Junior Varsity) team for her high school. She continued, “I did not do my best at tryouts, but I think the coach liked my height and potential.”

Mrs. Holten played all four years of high school volleyball. She played intra-murals in college for fun with friends. 

Mrs. Holten states, “I still play volleyball on a women’s team in Ann Arbor.  I’ve been playing volleyball for over 40 years!!!!” Mrs. Holten states that she was a hitter in high school and had developed into a good all-around player over the years. Mrs. Holten states, “Give volleyball a try!  You never know how much you might like it.” She ends off with, “The expert was once a beginner.  Bump, set, spike….have fun!!!”
