The iPhone has been known for its lightning port for years, but in the latest models, Apple has switched to USB-C.

This change has been long-awaited by many iPhone users who are tired of carrying so many charging cords for various devices. With USB-C, people can now charge their iPhones with the same cord they use for their MacBook or other USB-C devices. Some people consider this a move that shows Apple is finally listening to its customers and making changes to improve their experience.

But why did the iPhone change its system? Well, a Regulation in the EU is now finally being carried out and now Apple is making the change to follow with European Union regulations, introduced in June 2022, that makes it so all smartphones use the same type of charger. Once The regulations were passed, the EU said, ” This change is to make products in the EU more sustainable, to reduce electronic waste, and make consumers’ lives easier.”

While this change has benefits, it has also created a problem for many iPhone users who now have to deal with the inconvenience of carrying around multiple types of charging cables. Fortunately, a few things can be done to help this issue, such as investing in a multi-port charging hub or using a wireless charging pad. With a little bit of research and testing, it is possible to find a solution that works best for you.
