Run faster, Jump higher, and get stronger. A new gym is coming to Downtown Plymouth. The owner of this new gym is John Vickers. Xplosive Performance Academy is going on at 320 N Main St, Plymouth, MI. This new gym will make you more Xplosive in all of your athletic movements. 

There are many positive reviews left on the website. One of the Reviews that stuck out to me was TIffany Slyvertooth’s review. John Vickers has trained multiple NFL, NBA, NHL, and college players that are still currently playing. “I have trained Will Ghoulston, Chris Evans, Alaric Jackson, Edmond Sumner, Amir Williams, Dave Moss, and a bunch of others.” All of these athletes have been trained by John at least once, if not once multiple times.

I asked John what led him to the road of owning his own gym and becoming a personal trainer. So, John states, ”I wanted to play professional sports growing up. But, I wasn’t good enough to play. So, being able to continue to be around high-level athletes led me to training and I loved it, I enjoyed it.” 

John has been a trainer for 19 years. John can help recover injuries that are simple to fix if you have someone like him. Speaking of injuries, John has had multiple intense injuries growing up. John tore his meniscus, tore his ACL, and when he tore his meniscus he stretched out his ACL graft. Coming from me, I currently have a sprained ankle and John has given me multiple exercises to help my ankle repair faster.
