You may have only seen a Hockey game inside, but have you watched one outdoors? Well, believe it or not, the Red Wings will be playing outdoors In Ohio in The 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series.
This is a great experience for sports fans of all kinds due to the special environment. The game will be held at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, March 1, 2025. But what makes these outdoor games so special?
Well first off, Football stadiums are much larger than Hockey arenas. This means that there will be far more people at the event than at any other Hockey game you have ever seen.
Second of all, It is special that the Detroit team is going to be playing in this game, but more important is how close the game is to us, being only in Ohio. This could be the only event of its kind for a long time, so I would encourage you to check it out.

According to the NHL, “The NHL has staged 41 regular-season outdoor games, including four during the 2023-24 season.” In fact, the last time the Red Wings were in an outdoor game was January 1st, 2017 in the Centennial Classic.
All in all, I encourage you to ask your parents to let you go. If you do go, I am positive it will be one of the best sports games you have ever gone to.
