The eighth graders are going to Cedar Point on June 7th, 2024. They will need to bring:
-Clear plastic water bottle
-Jacket/sweatshirt
-Umbrella and/or rain poncho
-Cellphone & portable charger
-Money if you plan to purchase lunch, dinner, souvenirs
-Lunch and snacks
*Mrs. Horvath recommends hand sanitizer & breath mints. You will also probably fall asleep on the bus ride home, so make sure you are comfortable.
-Drawstring bag or small backpack
If you do not want to carry your bags/backpacks around the park, students may rent a locker for a fee. Carry your cell phones, money, and other valuables at all times!
The schedule for the 8th graders is:
8:05 Report to the cafeteria for attendance & begin boarding buses
8:25 Depart from West Middle School
10:45 – 11:00:Estimated Time of Arrival to Cedar Point
12:00 – 2:00 Check in with chaperones & eat Lunch (Chaperones to determine lunchtime and meeting location)
8:00 Meet chaperones at the front entrance of the park. The chaperone will lead you to the bus.
8:15 Depart from Cedar Point
10:30 – 10:45 Estimated time of Arrival at West Middle School
If you plan on bringing a lunch from home,it will be stored at the Starbucks inside the park. The lunches at Starbucks. Snacks will be left on the bus for the eighth graders to eat before and after the trip. You can also purchase lunch, dinner, or snacks at Cedar Point. You can purchase dining packages online before the trip.
The sixth graders are going to the Penn Theatre on May 31st. The 6th graders will arrive to school at the same time as normal and go to their 1st hour.
Between 8:45 and 9:15 the 6th graders will be walking to the Penn Theatre.
9:15-11:25 you will be watching McFarland, USA. They will not be allowing outside food into the theater.
11:25-11:40 the chaperone groups will walk together to Fairground Park.
11:40-1:15 the students will be able to have lunch/ Kona Ice/ and play volleyball, soccer, basketball, or hang out with friends from any group.
1:00 pm-1:15 pm the students will walk back to school.
1:20 Students will go back to their 5th and 6th hour electives.
They won’t allow any gum, candy, or drinks into the Penn Theater! Students will have to bring lunch from home. They also won’t be allowed to use any electronics or cell phones on the trip. Finally, you don’t need any extra money.
The seventh graders will be going to Super Bowl on Friday, June 7th! 7th graders will go to their first hour as normal and will depart from West at 9:00 AM and return at 1:00 PM.
You will need:
Fill out the permission slip by Tuesday, May 28th
Pay 15 dollars in cash or check by Tuesday, May 28th
Please note: no late submissions for the permission slip and money will be accepted.
Bring any additional money for the food and activities at the bowling alley (there are arcade
games and vending machines)
Pizza and soda will be provided
Brown bag lunches will be allowed.

Great job on the article guys! I really like that somebody gave extra info and even schedules for any student to see if they are confused or nervous. This was a very good article, keep up the good work!
