Pet peeves. Pet peeves are something that a certain person finds annoying. This is a common recurrence in West Middle School with both teachers and students.
This article will teach you about some of our WMS teachers’ pet peeves. You may try and guess what some teachers’ pet peeves are and if they even have any. The longer you read this article, the more you learn about our amazing teachers’ pet peeves, and how similar and different their pet peeves are.
First up, we interviewed Ms. Grady about her pet peeves. Ms. Grady stated, ”I would probably say when kids are on their Chromebooks when it is not time to be on their Chromebooks. Sometimes it becomes a distraction in the classroom.” So remember when you plan on being on your Chromebooks during someone’s class; especially Ms. Grady, remember that could be their pet peeve. Be kind, smile, and sing loudly to please Ms. Grady.
Next, we interviewed Mrs. Lawson. She explained, “My teacher’s pet peeve, #1, is lack of effort; not doing your work, not participating, putting your head down, and being unkind. That’s actually my number 1; kindness is actually the most important thing to me.” If you have Mrs. Lawson, remember to be kind, do your work, and put in effort to make that class great! Trust me, you don’t want to make Mrs. Lawson mad! Participate in class, be kind to make her day, and keep her smiling!
Mr. T states his teacher’s pet peeve by saying “When people break a machine or deface something in my classroom and then I’m left to have to deal with it… Um, and then they don’t have a plan to fix it. That’s a huge pet peeve.” So while you’re in his classroom be considerate and caring about what you use and touch. We don’t want to leave a mess for our teachers! Trust me, you don’t want to make Mr. T mad! Let’s be respectful with all of the STEM equipment and be good students to make Mr. T happy.
Mrs. Horvath said that “Not being prepared, asking to go to the bathroom in the middle of instruction, making a mess, and being mean to your classmates.” These are common distractors that can make Mrs. Horvath angry and stressed. Be sure to be responsible and respectful to our teachers! Trust me, you don’t want to make Mrs. Horvath mad! So, use alliteration and raise your hand in class to make her happy.
Finally, we interviewed Mr. Almachy. He told us, “My pet peeve is liars; because they automatically lose my trust and I can never trust them again.” Lying for almost everyone is a pet peeve. Don’t lie because if you lie to everyone you will lose everyone’s trust and I don’t think anyone really wants that. Trust me, you don’t want to make Mr. Almachy mad! Be a kind, respectful, attentive student to gain Mr. Almachy’s trust!
All of these pet peeves can teach you good life lessons; such as things not to do. For example, you should tell the truth and be honest; instead of lying and losing others’ trust. Plus, you should always be respectful of other peoples belongings and give your personal best in life.
All in all I think everybody has gotten on each others’ nerves at some point so it is good to be truthful, kind, and caring wherever you go and whatever you do.
