The Tigers have been on a run infinitely better than last season’s. They’ve been able to keep at .500 and over for a stretch of games but have gone below it. Here’s the Tigers traits they need to improve and traits they strive in.
First we have to start with their pitching, starring ace strike slammer, Tarik Skubal. He is a top 5 pitcher and never fails to get a game over 4 strikeouts. The Tigers also have other pitchers like Reese Olson the ERA entrepreneur, and Jack Flaherty, the other strikeout slammer.
The Tigers’ fielding is pretty decent as well. With players like Javier Baez and Matt Canha having minimal errors and great fielding percentage. Even though Detroit could still use some help at first basemen since Spencer Torkelson isn’t the superstar first basemen we were expecting, the Tigers’ defense is still pretty good.
Finally Detroit’s batting. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Our best batting average being Matt Canha’s and his being a .247 (As of last Thursday). Detroit had a chance to improve in the offseason but missed it. The draft didn’t exactly help us either with “superstar” first baseman Spencer Torkelsen hitting nothing. A .209 batting average! What are we going to do?
Overall the Tigers could go to a 77 win season and a possible shot at the playoffs. What’s your opinion on the Tigers? Put your opinion in the comments.
