School lunches have been downgraded in quality in the new school year. West Students feel that the school lunches have worsened from the previous school year.
The school lunches are cold and students are presented with low-quality choices. West students said last year’s lunches weren’t much better, but the lunches have been especially bad this year.
An example of this is the Beef Bulgogi-Inspired Noodle Bowl. the student described them as cold, and “dry with no broth.” said 7th grader Boden. Another meal that was described as bad was the Turkey Cheese Waffle. It was described as “soggy and unfresh meat” said 7th grader Andrew. The Chicken Fettucini is also lacking in sauce.
The Pizza Crunchers and Bosco sticks are still pretty good. West cafeteria workers could not meet with me due to their busy schedules.
