Students are checking their grades because quarter 2 and semester 1 are coming to an end.
With this new quarter and semester starting up there will be a gradebook reset. The gradebook reset clears all of your grades and resets them all, meaning you get a fresh start on your grades and also a mental refreshment. As a result, this is an amazing opportunity to benefit you and your grades, and also this might give you some motivation to push through and improve.
Furthermore, if you have been struggling lately with some classes this will be a great way to really push your grades up. Here are a couple excellent tips from our amazing counselor Mrs. Brooks. For example, you should “stay focused, stay organized, and remember since it is a new semester it’s a fresh clean start so don’t get discouraged.” She also informed us that “this new semester is just as important as last semester. So if you have been doing good, keep it up. On the other hand if you haven’t been doing the best, this is a great way to start doing better.”
In conclusion, the gradebook reset and a clean start can really help you academically and mentally, so good luck West Middle School students with the new semester and quarter!
