Northville Township Police Department and Cunningham-Limp are teaming up to raise funds for local families in need through a creative and fun-filled “Cuffs for a Cause” fundraiser.
The event will display Northville Township’s new Essential Services Complex (ESC), a modern public safety facility that is under construction by Cunningham-Limp. On Thursday, Dec 12, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., the community leader will be put in a temporary jail at the ESC. To secure their release, they must raise “bail” funds, which will benefit local causes, which Cunningham-Limp chores to be the Township Police Department’s “Hope for the Holidays” initiative and nonprofit Oakland Family Services.
Max, Northville Township’s beloved police therapy dog, will also be “jailed”, and he will be showing his puppy eyes on social media, begging for bail support from Township residents. The public is encouraged to engage to get Max his “bail” money, and other community leaders who are jailed. Donations should be directed to Cunningham-Limp, which will split the money between the charities
This is the fourth year the Police Department has put on this program. It gets together with local school social workers to recognize families who might need a helping hand.
