Jupiter is a huge planet. With having a radius of 44,441 mi. Jupiter is way bigger than earth, for example, it is around almost 1,300 times bigger than Earth.
A day on Jupiter would be around 9.93 hours. For a year on Jupiter is almost 11.86 earth years. The reason why this happens is because Jupiter moves faster because it is a gas planet.
Why is Jupiter named Jupiter? Well, Jupiter is named after a Roman god, the god of the sky and thunder.
Jupiter has 92 moons. Most of Jupiter’s moons are small, but there are 4 moons that are larger than the rest. The 4 are Ganymede, Io, Europa, and Callisto. Ganymede is actually bigger than Mercury. Io is a little bit bigger than the moon. Callisto is around the same size are Mercury. Then, Europa is around 90% of the moons size.
Can a human live on Jupiter? Well, not exactly, the temperatures on Jupiter are very extreme. I mean, Jupiter’s the surface temperature is -234 fahrenheit.
Jupiter has many interesting things about it. Even though Jupiter has extreme temperatures, do think that scientists may find some kind of life on it in the future?
