Daylight savings time is starting this weekend and over 300 million people dread losing their precious hour of sleep.
Daylight saving time is important because it makes the sun rise later in the morning and set later in the night during the summer so you don’t have to change when you wake up to take advantage of the sunlight. But changing the time suddenly during the spring and fall is harder on our bodies than just waking up a little earlier every day.
Some people don’t want to do daylight savings time to avoid losing their hour of sleep, but it’s actually easier to just stay on daylight saving time so the sun still rises and sets later in the day but we don’t have to switch.
