West’s second annual March Book Madness is finally underway, and this year’s bracket features an exciting lineup of new titles to vote for in a friendly competition that celebrates the fun of reading.
The 2025 March Book Madness will continue until March 21st. Voting is available through the Google forms sent out by Mrs. Davies, making participation easy for everyone. The voting window for the first two rounds lasts two to three days, and a week of voting for the final round. During this time, individuals can cast their votes for their favorite book in the bracket and express their opinions about their favorite titles.
“I’m really excited to see some new titles on the list. The most popular books based on checkouts have some books that weren’t on the list last year, like The Wild Robot,” comments Mrs. Davies, West’s librarian.
March Book Madness began at West Middle School as an annual tradition when Mrs. Davies was inspired to get students, as well as teachers and staff, excited about reading. It was her vision to create an event that would not only promote reading but also include the participants. For the last two years, students have been able to let their voices be heard in a fun and interactive way. By including both students and educators in this event, it has been a way for everyone to enjoy books as well as giving a nod to the yearly March Madness while being just as unique.
Be sure to cast your vote for the book you want to win this year’s book madness!
