The K-12 art show is coming up! The art show is a show to celebrate the beautiful arts in the P-CCS! This show is on May 17, at Salem High school, 11:30am – 3:30pm!
All people who got entered by their art teachers will get a certificate of recognition, and professional judges will hand select art pieces for a special recognition. The art show will take place in the cafeteria, in a row-like formation, for everyone to be able to see! The award for juried workers will be at 3:30pm on the same day!
I asked Mrs. Hedrick, the art teacher, some questions about the art show! Read down below to see what she responded to!
Q: How long has West Middle School been in the P-CCS art show?
A: P-CCS has been in the art show since 2009!
Q: Would you recommend going to the art show? Why?
A: The art show is a great place to see what other schools are doing for art. It is also helpful to see what the high school classes do for art projects so you can choose the art classes you want to take in the future. Another reason to go to the art show is to support your friends and family that might have art on display! Go and be inspired to create!
She also mentioned that there will be about 40-50 students attending this event, with their artwork.
