Friday, March 16th until Sunday, March 18th you’re not going to want to miss is it, it is the level 7-10 Gymnastics State Meet. The competition will be held at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. The gymnastics club hosting the meet is Branch Gymnastics.

The State Meet isn’t like any other competition. One reason is because this is the meet every gymnast trains all season for. It is your one chance to be a state champion and go to regionals. Tegan Warren-Green a level 8 gymnast at Splitz Gymnastics states, “ This is the most important meet of the year because if you do good at states then you can go to regionals”. The other reason the meet is different is because gymnasts are most likely going to split up from their team. The meet splits gymnasts into different age groups and then certain age groups go at certain times.

Many gymnasts enjoy competing and that is a great mindset to have coming into this meet. At this point in the year is when most gymnasts want to peak or have their high point in the season. Ava Demchinski, a level 7 gymnast at Splitz Gymnastics, states, “ I feel prepared for the meet because I have been working on my skills for a while and I’m just trying to perfect them the most that I can.”

I hope everyone competing has a good meet. Good luck to all of the girls competing this weekend. GOOOOO TEAM!
