What to do When You Are Bored: Spring Edition

Baking is a great way to pass the time when you are bored.

Are you looking for something to do? Are you with friends? With family? By yourself? We have something for everyone to do when you are bored in spring!

Running: Running is a great way to get your daily exercise and its super fun. Maya Mitts is a West 7th grader. “I like how I feel after [running] because I’m just happy that it’s over with, and happy that I did it.” Maya likes to run in the woods because it is pretty and she feels it distracts her.

Bake: Baking is a great thing to do when you are bored because its super fun to make your own treat and even more fun to eat it.

Hang out in DTP: If you’re with friends, going downtown is a great activity. You can watch a movie at the Penn Theatre, get lunch at Panera, grab ice cream at Dairy King, and wash it all down with a pinkity drinkity from Starbucks.

Make a TikTok: You can be with friends or by yourself to make a TikTok. TikTok allows you to create and share your videos. TikToker’s film videos of them lip-syncing or acting out comedy sketches with effects or filters.  Each video goes up to 15 seconds.

Take an Instagram Photo: Instagram photos show followers what you have been up to lately, cool clothes you just bought, or a selfie of you. These photos start up conversations with friends in the comments.

Make Art: Art is an amazing way to express yourself and it is super fun and relaxing. Anaka Kotha a 7th grader at WMS claims,” I like making art because it is very fun to do and you can be creative.” Anaka likes to use acrylic paint, oil pastels, and watercolor.
