A bee pollinating a flower!

Saving the bees is very important for the future. Bees pollinate one-third of the food we eat. Bees are going extinct all over the world!

Compared to 1947, the U.S. honeybee population has declined by 60%! Not to mention everything that bees can pollinate. Bees are responsible for pollinating most of the fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts that are essential to our diets.

“I say save the bees because they’re bees, without them we wouldn’t have honey,” Kate O’Donnell, West 7th grader states.

I recently came across a website called The Bee Conservancy and you are able to donate to save bees. The website is all about bees, you can donate, you can learn how to help bees in your own backyard, etc.
