Ukrainians left the country.

Around 15 million Ukrainians left the country, 6 million of them moved to Poland and 50 thousand to USA.

For how long will other countries let Ukrainians stay?

From February 1, 2023, Ukrainians who stay in Poland for more than 120 days will have to cover 50% of the cost of their stay. The amount will be no more than PLN 40 per person per day. In addition, from May 1, 2023, refugees who will stay in Poland for 180 days will have to cover 75% of the costs.

Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova told the UP that Ukrainian refugees have a temporary protected status – a temporary support status that allows them to stay in the States for about 18 to 24 months

Why Ukraine isn’t in NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization)?

Ukraine had been trying to join NATO for the last 15 years. NATO is an alliance between multiple countries for safety and security. Since Ukraine wasn’t officially a part of NATO, the NATO countries can’t join the war. Russia is not part of NATO and does not want Ukraine to join NATO. NATO countries are sending supplies to Ukraine. Ukraine also can’t join NATO during this war.

How USA helps Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens?

USA supports Ukraine and helps financially. In total USA send 20B$ during the war. Also, USA helps Ukrainians that moved with medical insurance, and product cards and accelerates the right to work.

Ukraine is a really good country, but right now it needs help!
