Amber Beals plays on the Michigan Volleyball team and plays the position of the Libero. She is a very talented player. The position of the Libero is a challenging position you need a high level of skill for.

A libero is a back-row defensive specialist. The Libero position is often meant for shorter players because they are not as tall as some front-row players such as middle blockers, and hitters.  The libero always has impeccable ball control skills.

A  libero always wears a different color jersey while playing their position. They do this to allow the ref to see and allow them to follow the specific rules for the libero. They cannot be a captain of a team because they run on and off the court and it would be extremely difficult to have an on-floor captain as a libero.

Amber Beals is a Senior at Michigan University and is 5 foot 1.  Her hometown is Columbus, Ohio. She went to high school at Worthington Kilbourne high school. She played volleyball for a while before college, She spent 4 years (2015-2019) playing on the club team Mintonette Sports.
