Imagine you’re eating lunch, and talking to friends. Then, the stage curtains open up to reveal 7th graders holding their instruments. This happened on December 22nd when the West Band students played holiday music for their peers during lunch. 

Mrs. Farmer and the 7th-grade band had thought about giving the 6th and 7th graders a little surprise. After every song, Mr. Smiley told a joke. All the 7th-grade band kids found them funny and laughed at every joke. The audience even sang along. 

As a band kid myself, it was really fun to get up there on stage and play! I hope it was as fun for you guys too. This was a great way to bring joy into lunch and something the band should continue to do every year.
