High Velocity in Canton holds many different types of sports, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and so much more. I will be talking about the volleyball club at HIgh Velocity, the Hurricanes. 

When trying out for the Hurricanes, there are two teams you can get into: Local and States. I am on the State team this season. There are many different age groups you can play in from the age of 4 to the age of 18. 

Many former players end up coaching for the Hurricanes. IF you’re interested, don’t have to play on a team for the Hurricanes, you can attend a clinic instead.. There are usually 10-12 players on each team. Players participate in about 7 tournaments a season and travel all around the State of Michigan. 

For the States team, the practices are from 6-8 on Mondays and Wednesdays. For locals, it is also Monday and Wednesday, but from  6-7:30pm. The season for States is 5 months, and for locals it is 4 months.

Hurricanes is a great organization. Well run, it’s organized, and there are great people on the team. The coaches are fair about play time. They focus on how dedicated players are to the team.
