The Summer I Turned Pretty Book Review

The Summer I Turned Pretty Book Review

Genevieve Gladd, Writer

“We’d been driving for about seven thousand years. Or at least that’s how long it felt.” Those are the first words to the book, The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. Have you read The Summer I turned Pretty yet? Or watched the TV show on Amazon Prime? If you haven’t, I recommend it.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a book (and also tv show) about Belly, a girl who, every summer, goes to Cousins to the Fishers beach house. She has been there every summer and there she gets to see Conrad and Jeremiah. She has a crush on Conrad each year, but eventually realizes she shouldn’t. I would recommend this book to a lot of people.

The Summer I Turned Pretty has three books in its series. The second one is called It’s Not Summer Without You, and the third one is called We’ll Always Have Summer.

Shealyn Setter, West 7th grade student says, “I thought The Summer I Turned Pretty was very nice. It was a good book series to read. I would recommend it to certain people because not everyone would particularly like it.”

My rating for The Summer I Turned Pretty out of five would be 5/5 stars.
