Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Kanye West. That’s only a few of the famous people who have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. You may not know what it is, but 4.4% of every American Adult has had Bipolar disorder at some point in their life. That’s over 14 million people!

Bipolar Disorder is associated with rapid mood swings, lack of eating, irritability, and many more symptoms. It can become an issue for people, especially when it causes arguments or Financial issues. Most people are found to not act like their normal selves often, and these come in random bursts.

While it certainly causes issues, many famous people have lived with the disorder. Kanye West was diagnosed with Bipolar in 2016. Even through that, he has managed to be extremely famous in the world.  Singer Selena Gomez and Mariah Carey were also diagnosed with the same disorder, and they’re some of the biggest names in America!

People who have minor cases of Bipolar Disorder could have some difficulty sleeping, loss of everyday activities, or common mood swings. More severe cases are often categorized into two groups; Mania and Depression. Depressive cases often result in a lack of appetite, extreme feelings of hopelessness, crying for little or no reason, and wanting to be alone at times and surrounded by people at others.

The other form of Bipolar Disorder is Mania. Mania is often indicated by extreme mood swings, bursts of self-doubt and overconfidence, irritability, and irrational thinking. Both of these forms can cause issues for people, but most often they have found ways to help themselves with the disorder. Ways to maintain your mood and keep stable emotions come easy with practice and Bipolar can be overcome with the right support. Just take my examples from earlier, some victims of the disorder have made the most of it!
