The first day of Spring was March 21, this means it is now officially ice cream season. Ice cream is always a good treat to have during spring and summer when you are with friends or even just when you are outside in the heat. We interviewed some West students to see what their favorite ice cream flavor is and why they like it.

7th grader, Chloey, states that she likes mint chocolate chip. “My favorite ice cream flavor is probably mint chocolate chip. I like mint chocolate chip because whenever I go downtown with my friends I always get it, and it is kind of like a routine.”

Substitute teacher, Mrs. Nischik likes vanilla ice cream. “I like Vanilla the best because you can turn it into anything you like. You can add chocolate if you like chocolate, if you like cinnamon you can add cinnamon, you can add sprinkles. Anything you want you can add, it is just a basic flavor.”

7th grader, Reid, enjoys a chocolate flurry with cookie dough. “I like it because it’s delicious and good. It tastes good and has a lot of flavor. Also, I get it a lot when I go downtown with my friends and family.”

6th grader, Caroline, prefers chocolate ice cream. “Chocolate ice cream is my favorite. It’s my go-to ice cream and it’s super good. It’s my favorite because it tastes good with anything; you can put sprinkles on it, twist it with vanilla, and so many other things. It also has more flavor than vanilla so that’s another reason why I like chocolate more.”

7th grader, Asher, likes cake batter with sprinkles. “I like the way it tastes and I also love cookie dough. I like it more than other ice cream flavors because It’s sweet and overall just very good.”

7th grader, Hannah, likes cookies and cream. “ I like cookies and cream because it tastes better than others. I like Oreos and adding them makes it taste better, I also like how crunchy it is at the same time.”

7th grader, Aubrey, likes triple chocolate brownie. “I like triple chocolate brownie because I like brownies and I am a big fan of chocolate. Mixing them together tastes really good and it tastes very sweet.”

7th grader, Ellie, prefers cookie dough! “I like cookie dough ice cream because it tastes really good. It has chunks in it so it makes it better, crunchier and have more flavor. Also, I like cookie dough without ice cream so adding the cookie dough into ice cream just makes it taste even better.”
