Hello, all! I’m Audrey, and I’m here to tell you some facts about the planet Saturn.
First, this planet’s rings are made up of tiny bits and pieces of rock. These are leftovers from when comets and asteroids were destroyed near Saturn.
Next, the rings are only a short phase in Saturn’s lifetime! They weren’t there at the start – they accumulated over time. The rings are not permanent, and eventually Saturn’s clouds will devour them.
Also, Saturn rains diamonds! When the planet has a lightning storm, it turns methane (a part of its atmosphere) into soot, which then hardens into chunks of graphite, which then turns into diamonds as it falls! These fall like hail and melt into Saturn’s core.
Finally, Saturn could float in water if you somehow got enough to put it in! Its density is less than water’s, which is how this would happen.
Well, it seems like we’ve reached the end! Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great day!
