The Art Show is Coming Up!

This year’s Art Show is coming up, Saturday May 13th! Come and see all the wonderful art, and see who will come out on top! We interviewed one of our students from West that is featured in the Art Show, Lexie Livense, and our Art teacher, Mrs. Hedrick.

You may be wondering who all is in the art show. Well, according to Mrs. Hedrick, “All grades are featured in the art show!” And Mrs. Hedrick also chose a few pieces to be in the art show! Out of all the pieces she chose, she often picked oil pastel pieces because, “That’s one of my favorite mediums!” she said. And another one of her favorite concepts from art this year includes cube-ism from the 6th grade art students! “Come see the amazing art!” She says.

Lexie Livense is one of our lucky students that got chosen to be in the Art Show, we asked her if she’s been in it before, “Yes, I have been in the art show! I was in it in second grade!” After not being in the art show for so long, she says, “I’m excited for my art to be in the show!” Even though being so excited for her work to be in the show, she states that this is not one of her favorite pieces she has made. “My clay creature art project was my favorite. I made a duck and it was really cool!”

The Art Show will be happening at Salem High School from 11:30 to 3:30, come to see all the astonishing creative pieces of art!
