West Middle School is lacking in sports teams.
West Middle School has a limited number of sports: track, volleyball, basketball, cross country, swimming, and wrestling.
West 7th graders Abby Stone, Charlotte Burke and Lydia Schultz all agree there should be more sports teams. These students recommended adding sports like soccer, football, cheerleading, baseball and softball.
They all said they would play on them. These are some of the most common sports and yet we don’t have them here at school.
Having after-school activities such as these would make students excited about going to school and it would help them get closer with other students that they have common interests that they might have never known.
Also, students would have more opportunities to cheer each other on. Lydia, Abby, and Charlotte are all interest in attending the sporting events and games? Lydia states, “Yes, definitely”. Abby agreed, “Yes of course I would go.” Charlotte agreed with both of them and stated “obviously.”
It would be a great opportunity for the school to get money for useful things we need, and donations.
