The Strange Schedule For January 18-22

The schedule for January 18-22.

Cassidy Kanclerz, Reporter

The week of January 18-22 is going to be a strange week. Here are some more details from Mr. Smiley, Mrs. Kulczycki, and Ms. Rapson.

On Monday the 18th, there will be no school due to Martin Luther King Jr Day. On Tuesday, classes will run the same that they do on a typical Wednesday, where you have Primetime first then all of your classes. On Wednesday the 20th, we will have 1st hour from 8:00-10:00 am and then 4th hour from 10:15-12:15 am. In the afternoon, there will be End Of Semester 1 Support from 1:00-3:00 pm (More info on that later.) On Thursday, second hour will be from 8:00-10:00 am and fourth hour will be from 10:15-12:15 am. Thursday will be a half-day so there will be no school in the afternoon. On Friday, there will be 3rd hour from 8:00-10:00. 6th hour will be from 10:15-12:15. Friday will also be a half-day.

“This segment of time is for the students to be able to reach out to their teachers if they have questions or need further assistance prior to the end of the semester.   Students with final exams may have questions prior to the exam that they would like to ask, or work that needs to be completed and turned in.”  From Mrs. Rapson, when asked for more details about what End Of Semester 1 Support is.  “So, the target date will be on January 25th.” Mr. Smiley, when asked if there is a date for when we will be back to face-to-face learning. But the school board is still deciding. “Yes, it will be mandatory.” From Mrs. Kulczycki, answering the question if End Of Semester One Support is mandatory.

According to Mrs. Rapson: We may have a similar schedule like this one at the end of semester two, but that may change if we go back to in-person learning. Have a great week everybody and happy Martin Luther King jr. Day!
