The West Basketball team finally won their first game against the East 22-12! As both teams were in warm-ups, their energy was tense and focused. A few players on both teams were missing due to Covid, which made the game unpredictable. 

Matthew Falkenberg was making free throws for the team and played awesome defense. Amare Horsley stepped up for the team with smooth layups. Coach Wells noted,  “The MVPs of the 7th-grade game were Matthew Falkenberg and Amare Horsley.” Coach Wells reflected, “They [the team] started to play really well in the second half and took the lead…The team needs to trust the offense.” 

Wells is hoping the team continues to improve.
