It’s Girl Scout Cookie season again! You can buy them online or find a Girl Scout and ask them. Sales started last weekend, and they should go every weekend until April.

We interviewed Mrs. Gavin, our Girl Scout Troop leader, “This weekend, on the 26th, our girls will be selling at the Kroger on Haggerty and 5 Mile. We will also be selling on March 12, downtown, in front of the Greek Island.”

We also interviewed Mrs. Grady, the West Middle School Choir teacher, about her opinion on Girl Scout cookies, and this is what she told us: “It’s a yummy treat and it’s nice to support a good organization. My favorite flavor is the Tagalongs.”

Alongside all the old favorites, a new flavor will be sold this year. The Adventurefuls! They are a caramel/brownie flavor and according to Girl Scout Emily Milam, “They’re delicious! I really like them.”

The Girl Scouts also try to think about dietary needs when making the cookies. Mrs. Gavin told us, “The Thin Mints are vegan, and the Toffee Tastics, a cookie that came out a couple of years ago, is gluten-free.”

If you can’t buy from the booths or from a Girl Scout, you can buy online at this website: Girl Scout Cookies
