The LA Lakers, a fan favorite team and one of the most popular NBA teams, are over for the 2022 season. 

The LA Lakers star players including Lebron James, who recently broke basketball records for the most game points, could not even save the team. The Lakers had 11 losses in a row, and have failed to even make the playoffs.

Nathan holmes, a 7th grader at West, said his favorite NBA teams are the Lakers and the Bulls. He thinks fans are disappointed that the LA Lakers are over for the season and he wants them to win.

There are a lot of reasons the Lakers had a bad season, including injuries and health issues but other teams had issues and played better.

Lebron James is nearing the end of his contract deal with the Lakers and it makes you wonder where he will go in the future or what his plan will be. Holmes thinks Lebron should stay on the Lakers.
