ESPN reporters gather around the table on the set of NBA today before the start of the NBA season and all say in unison “The Lakers are trash! They can’t stay healthy! The Mavericks are contenders!” 

These are just some of the many predictions that we all believed in 6 months ago. Not a single one came true.

The NBA play-in tournament is here and there is a lot to talk about. The Hawks are set to play the Heat, the Lakers are set to play the Timberwolves, the Bulls are set to play the Raptors, and the Thunder are set to play the Pelicans.

We think that the Hawks will sneak past the Heat in a very close matchup. We believe that the Timberwolves will be defeated by the Lakers after their recent controversies. The Bulls are projected to beat the Raptors but we predict the opposite. After some recent success the raptors are looking nice.finally we predict the Thunder to get past the Pelicans.

After the play-in tournament is the actual playoffs where 4 of the 8 play-in teams make the playoffs. We asked West 7th grader Reid about the playoffs. “I think that the Bucks will win the Championship because Giannis is a beast. I think that the Warriors will upset the Kings in the first round.”
