Is gym the most popular elective? Well you probably hear most people talking about it. Do you think that people talk about it so much because it is their favorite elective?

Charlotte Huggard a West Middle School seventh grader told us,” I think gym is the most popular elective because it is competitive and fun.” Gym has many activities such as Soccer, Softball, Kickball, Handball, Basketball, and many more. “I think gym class is enjoyable because you just get to run around and have fun and we don’t need to try hard to show off.” Said Alex Wiewiora seventh grader at WMS. As you can see a lot of kids love gym, but do they like gym indoor or outdoor? Drew Dawson, a seventh grader at West shared with us that he prefers to have gym indoor. On the other hand, Alex Wiewiora said he likes gym outdoor better than indoor. But, there is a down side of gym class. Another problem  is that teams can be unfair. Sean Byrnes said “ Yes, Teams can be unfair, but when they are Mr. Almachy tries to make them fair.” Also sometimes the weather can affect the play of the activity. Alex Wiewiora stated “…When it gets too hot people can get tired very quickly…”

Gym is a loved elective at West Middle School, but is it the most popular? That’s up to you!
